In 2017 we were invited to visit the Brooks HQ situated on the outer reaches of Venice, Italy. Our brief to collate and represent over 10 years worth of photographic and rich media content into a first time keynote presentation for Brooks Global. With a short turn around time we worked closely with the team to reimagine the way in which a number of Brooks old and innovative new cycling products could be revealed for the first time.
The private auditorium (shown right) in which the keynote would be delivered. Working with the Brooks team across Italy, London and in the studio, we helped film, shoot and content edit a keynote that would deliver a curated and powerful message to their global distributors.
Working with the lead product photography for both the Harrier and Island helmet range we reimagined what happens when static photography meets motion graphic. Displayed over three vast projector panels in the auditorium these simple motion graphics enhanced insight and analysis to the audience.
A major keynote focus was on the launch of their new Cambium saddle - Cambium All Weather. Designed for cycling in the more inclement weather this saddle takes the spirit of all great Brooks saddles matched with a modern aesthetic and a competitive price point. Producing a short yet dramatic weather orientated film piece alongside closely art directed photography we helped co-create content that was very much on point.
The main headline feature of the keynote was the reveal of the Discovery commuter cycle bag range by Brooks. This compelling range of commuter luggage required a full photo shoot led by both the Communication and Art Director at Brooks. To complement this a short series of ‘how to’ films were shot on location in and around Shoreditch and Aldgate, London. Our film team worked quickly to capture the specific features of each bag and its performance both on and off the bike.
With a continual programme of new product development and an understanding throughout the business that great content is key to delivering an inspirational and aspirational message, Brooks as a brand established in England, over 150 years ago continues to engage and inspire the world of cycling and beyond.
