One of the leading integrated marketing agencies outside London, Jaywing offers clients award-winning strategy, creative and media. Based in Sheffield, Leeds, Sydney and Melbourne, the agency started life as a specialist data business, which means the power of data science is core to all their projects.
For Jaywing’s Sheffield headquarters an abandoned cutlery factory in the centre of the city needed transforming into a creative office that was both functional and true to the heritage of the building. Our interiors team reimagined the four derelict workhouse buildings which formed part of Albert Works to create a multi-award winning project with international acclaim.
To reflect the making previously taking place in the old factory, much of the furniture was bespoke and manufactured in our workshop. Large canopy lights, desking, a reception desk, boardroom tables and storage solutions were designed and handmade by our team to respond to the space uniquely.
Working closely with architects Cartwright Pickard, we selected industrial materials and fittings to suit the exposed brickwork and ironwork. Wood in lighter shades across tables and storage units, soft seating and a bespoke carpet (made with Ege) adds warmth to the space, generating a feeling of comfort for staff and clients alike.
The bespoke approach to the building has created a contemporary work space that blends the history of the location with Jaywing’s forward thinking ethos. The multi-million-pound scheme has attracted numerous accolades, including a RIBA award in 2018.
